The CFD summarises the behaviour of the system over time.
Shows trends in the rates of the arrival and completion of work. The ability to see bottlenecks and delays can help the team to making system-level improvements.
Filter to look at a specific state – e.g. the amount of work in the ‘In development’ column over time.

A ‘typical’ CFD
This picture shows the work on SenseAdapt and illustrates a weakness of CFDs, i.e. that after a while the interesting part gets compressed to a uselessly narrow band (circled). The SenseAdapt version enables you to look at one or more states and see trends.
